The ripple in the water
Calm as it may be
Is thought to cause change
Though is also thought
This ripple in the water
Is thought to simply be
Only a ripple in the water
And simply nothing more.

Parasol Over Two Hearts
Once, when the rain was falling lightly,
A girl's pink umbrella was blown by the wind, from her grasp.
It had passed a boy, his black umbrella in his grasp tightly,
He had seen the girl, looking after her pink umbrella.
He ran to her, giving away his black umbrella to the girl,
And went after her pink umbrella.
And she waited.
She had waited long with the boy's umbrella,
When he finally came back, a pink umbrella, now torn and ruined, in his hand.
He was soaked by the rain, and smiled.
He let her keep his black umbrella,
She let him keep her pink one.
And so the two parted,
As out came the sun,
And the rain faded.

Like a phoenix rising again
I raise my eyes to the dawn
Count the scars upon my flesh
Stories there of battles past
The toothpick demons
Have come and gone
Their chaos choir but an echo
Vision now clear of horde
I see rays of hope
Amber horizons
Stars of gold
No more choking on regret
My soul is clear of all debris
The long night ran its course
A new day shines bright
Hindsight a field of hell
Foresight a meadow of light
Perhaps I still don’t understand myself
Or all those things gnawing away
That brought my soul to decay
All that fear which was so bleak
Never knowing what I seek
But gone is my yesterday

Two Moons Over: Humanity Fractured
To his right and left were stationed guards. The left one, not prepared to see the master, chirped nervously, “Sir!” A hastened salute, and his tone flattened. “Are you done reflecting?” The other remained silent.
“Yes.” But this was not entirely true. “I had a chat with a guest I summoned. Things became heated, and there is some cleanup down the hall. Have someone take care of that. I’m going to look upon the cityscape and think about the conversation for a bit.”
“Are you hurt, sir? And also, were you able to dispatch the assailant?”
Malachi thought it
